Quilt started with a simple frustration. We were trying to solve a pipeline visibility problem for our CMO at a professional services firm. We tried every traditional CRM on the market — browser plugins, desktop apps, email extensions — and every one of them asked our PMs and team leads to change how they worked.

Extra logins. Extra clicks. Extra steps after every meeting, proposal, and site visit. And our people were already busy running projects, chasing subconsultants, and managing client relationships.

The CRM training sessions went nowhere. The adoption numbers were embarrassing. And the pipeline data was always out of date — or simply didn't exist.

So we asked a different question: instead of changing behaviour, what if we learned from it?

Every project, every opportunity, every relationship — it all flows through email. Client enquiries come in via email. Subconsultant coordination happens via email. Go/no-go discussions happen over email. The intelligence was already there. It just wasn't being captured.
